Do I need a referral to engage with H2OT Allied Health?
Often, Paediatricians, GP’s or other Allied Health Professionals may recommend your child see an Occupational Therapist. However, no formal referral is required.
Feel free to reach out if you are interested in our services.
If my child is already working with an Occupational Therapist can we commence Aquatic Therapy with H2OT?
Yes! We love working and collaborating with other health professionals. It is important that we have clear goals for both environments.
How long does an Initial Assessment go for?
Initial Assessments are booked in for 60 mins. Occasionally, we may need extra time however this will be discussed with you and additional time booked as required.
How long do sessions go for?
Traditionally, an Occupational Therapy session will go for 60 mins however at H2OT we also offer 30 and 45 min sessions to enable flexibility for you and your child.
Do I attend sessions with my child?
We strongly encourage parents/caregivers to attend sessions however we pride ourselves on being flexible and adaptable to you and your child.
How many sessions will my child have?
This depends on your child’s goals. It will be important for us to establish a thorough understanding of the current demands placed upon your child and your family to determine frequency and length of therapy. At times, it may be important to take a term off OT to monitor their progress without therapy.
Where is H2OT located?
We are a mobile Occupational Therapy service therefore we see clients at home, in the community or in an aquatic environment.
What funding options are there for my child?
Please refer to our ‘About’ page for the different funding options.
What do I need to bring to an aquatic therapy session?
Swimmers, goggles (if required), towel. H2OT provides all resources required.
